While a large portion of our work at Building Brands is of a paid-for nature, we do believe that as part of our personal ethos, we need to pay-it-forward as well.
Our pro bono work over the past three years has included the following:
- Newsletter content for the Sinekhono Feeding Scheme in the Gcilima township of rural KwaZulu-Natal. This scheme sees generous business and private sponsors providing sustenance in the form of nutritious porridge every school day morning for 300 vulnerable children who attend a local school. In addition, they receive a hot lunch three days a week. Let us never forget what an empty belly feels like!
- Newsletter content for the Genesis Care Centre in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. This amazing centre cares for terminally ill patients in an empathetic and gentle manner. A full nursing team makes sure patients receive both physical care as well as spiritual upliftment. Local businesses help to raise funds to undertake this admirable project and a number of volunteers from South Africa and overseas offer their services and provide care packs for the patients and staff.
- Consulting on the digital and social media components of Riverlife Church in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal. This charismatic, evangelical and apostolic church has a heart for the nations, not only reaching out to local communities but also driving missions to the rest of Africa.
